Van Life…Mazatlan to Puerto Vallarta

We’ve made it Puerto Vallarta, and plan to take Highway 200 down until we cut inland toward Mexico City, and finally point down toward Oaxaca. We should be arriving in 4 days or so, as long as the traffic gods on these little two lane highways sees fit.

So far the map and no plan has worked out okay, minus that one night spent in a gas station parking lot, because we  had no plan.

We are one group of hot Northern Californians, I tell you. We are used to heat, but it always cools down at night, where we come from.  But despite the bugs, and the oppressive heat–we’re making love and memories.

A few photos to share since the wi-fi is slow, and I need to get back in the water:

Seriously, could we get any closer to the beach? Freakin’ awesome.

Bug bites, not so fun.

Diego is so happy to be in a country where you can build a fire, anyplace, anytime. Welcome home Diego! Fish looks fantastic.

Not sure where we will sleep tonight, but I’m hopeful we’ll find another spot as awesome as this, right along the waterfront.

Thanks again for joining us on this adventure. It’s not all sunshine and smiles out here, I can assure you. This morning for example, someone (not mentioning names here) put fish and sand in the ice chest, all before I’d had my morning coffee. Gratitude is a practice for me folks, even in paradise.

Stay Wild,
